Budapest: 3 days itinerary - Part 1/2

Budapest is a romantic city, if you are with your better half even though you are exploring the city you are always on a date. From walking on the streets around the city to cruising across Danube river. And from the other side this city can offer so much culture, history and great cuisine for those who want to taste Hungarian food.
We were in Budapest from 16th till 19th July, but the tricky part was that the first day we arrived in the afternoon and the last day we were leaving early in the morning. So we were kind of in a hurry to visit as many places as we can but even if we were rushing from one place to another and even if we were there for only 2 whole days we had time to visit everything that we wanted.
Great thing about Budapest is that you don't have to use any transportation if you are accommodated near the center of the city as we were.

1st day

As we already told we arrived in the afternoon, first thing on our list was lunch, because we were starving the fastest way to food was McDonald's. After that we went right a way to our accommodation which was not more than 15 minutes walk from McDonald's. We checked in and it was time to start exploring the city. We were already prepared with a to do list for every day.

First stop was Terror House (Terror Haza), but when we were on the point of buying the tickets, the ladies that were working on the ticket section asked us if this is our last day here and if its not, we should come some other day because we will need more than 2 hours to see everything in the museum and in 1 hour the museum is closing. So we rescheduled that for the third day, and we decided to go exploring the streets of Budapest.
From there we went to see St. Stephen Basilica. This is the most important church building in Hungary, one of the most significant tourist attractions and the third highest church in Hungary. The architectural style is Neo-Classical; it has a Greek cross ground plan. The facade is anchored by two large bell towers.

Since we had 2 - 3 more hours till our scheduled cruising on Danube, from St. Stephen we went to see the parliament building. Parliament of Budapest construction work started in 1885, and the building was inaugurated on the 1000th anniversary of the country in 1896. It was completed in 1904.
Few facts about this building is that about 100 000 people were involved in construction, during which 40 million bricks, half a million precious stones and 40 kilograms of gold were used. We spent 2 hours there, its a building which will leave you amazed and you would not want to leave that place, also the building is situated on the edge of the Danube river which gives you unique moment of enjoying the sunset and this magnificent building next to the river.
We ended our first day with cruising across Danube, that's something you can't skip if you are visiting this city. We pre-scheduled our tickets on GetYourGuide price was 8 euros per person. The magical part of the cruising is happening if you cruise while the sun sets.
While you are waiting the night to overtake the day all lights from the monuments, bridges turn on and suddenly from a simple cruising you are experiencing a romantic and magical moment. From there we went to our room, it was late we weren't there to party so we used our way to our accommodation to see few more thing.
