In 2018 we made more memories than we can imagine. We were planning on visiting one city, but we ended up visiting 7 new places. Also we went on a few short road trips which helped us to charge our batteries while we waited our holiday to come.
We started our year with a short road trip to Thessaloniki. I don't know how many times we were there but this time we used it for shopping. If you are from the Balkan region you probably know that Thessaloniki is well known as city for shopping but let me tell you that you will not be disappointed if you visit Thessaloniki just to explore the city and it's history. We will share insights about that in another post.
Next stop on our travel list for 2018 was in February. Macedonia is country with many mountains and few ski centers, so we decided to spend one day on Popova Shapka ski center. These two trips were just a start for us, because we decided in April to take our first big trip for 2018.
Just 4 weeks before that we sat down and were discussing where to go, we were exploring few options, at the end we decided to take another road trip which lasted for 4 days. The destination was Athens. Athens is amazing city, beautiful places, lots of history, we were little disappointed by the streets and how bad was most of the infrastructure neglected. But it was a great experience.
This road trip didn't end in Athens, because while we were driving back home, from the start we said that on the way home we must visit the Meteora. We taught that this trip will be our last for that year, but you never know what the future hold.
Rest of the year was amazing, as we said previously, we work during the week, so we had a chance to go few times on a business trips, so we used the afternoons to explore the cities. We visited Belgrade, Vienna and Ankara.
Yes, we have awesome jobs :). This trip took places during the summer, and we spent every minute that we had after all meetings were done wondering on the streets. You will also hear more about those trips in another posts.
We don't have to bother you with details, you just need to know that 2018 was very good for both of us, that's why we decided to take another trip. We were not thinking very much where to go, it was matter of minutes when we decided to go to Spain. Destinations were Barcelona, Valencia and Zaragoza.
Till now it was the best trip we ever took, we made beautiful memories explore every corner every place we could in Barcelona, we felt the spirit of Valencia and Zaragoza. It was something different. It was a great year, great memories and lot of fun during those trips.
